The 2026 Stoneways VPRS Championships Returns to Poole.
23 – 25 May 2026 | International Paint Poole Regatta
Following a successful Championship in 2025, hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club, we are pleased to confirm that the Stoneways VPRS Championships will return to Poole in 2026. The event will once again take place as part of the prestigious International Paint Poole Regatta, over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from 23 to 25 May.
Recognised as one of the UK’s most prominent regattas, the Poole event offers an exceptional platform for VPRS-rated yachts to compete in a professionally managed series, within a vibrant and inclusive regatta atmosphere.
Racing Format
The 2026 edition is expected to follow a similar format to recent years:
- 8-race series over three days, with racing scheduled in both Poole Bay and Studland Bay
- Anticipated two-fleet structure, reflecting the strong entry of 27 yachts in 2024
- An early finish on Bank Holiday Monday to facilitate return travel
All racing will be managed to a high standard by an experienced race management team, with a strong emphasis on fair competition and quality sailing.
Shoreside Programme
Ashore, a full social programme will complement the racing, offered to all competitors in a relaxed and welcoming environment:
- Friday: Welcome Reception at Poole Quay Boat Haven
- Saturday: Evening Social at Parkstone Yacht Club
- Sunday: Hospitality and entertainment at Poole Yacht Club
- Monday: Regatta Prize Giving at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Sandbanks
Berthing Arrangements
Berthing for visiting yachts is available at Poole Quay Boat Haven, where berths are being held exclusively for the event. Additional berths will also be available at Parkstone YC and Poole YC; all offered at preferential rates for competitors.
